1Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MedTranslate AR ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App worldwide.

2About MedTranslate AR

MedTranslate AR is a mobile application designed to help patients and caregivers understand prescription labels and medical instructions by providing plain-language translations and simplifications of medical text.

The App is developed and maintained by Mustafa Abdalaziz ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our").

Read this section carefully before using the App.

3.1 MedTranslate AR is an educational and informational tool only. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3.2 All translations, simplifications, and explanations generated by the App are produced by artificial intelligence (AI) and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. AI-generated content is not reviewed by licensed medical professionals.
3.3 Never use the App as a substitute for the advice, guidance, or instructions of a qualified healthcare provider, physician, pharmacist, or other licensed medical professional.
3.4 Never change your medication dosage, stop taking medication, or start a new medication based solely on information provided by this App.
3.5 If you have questions about your prescription, medication, or medical condition, consult your doctor or pharmacist directly.

4Eligibility

4.1 You must be at least 12 years of age to use this App.
4.2 If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
4.3 By using the App, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

5How the App Works

5.1 The App uses your device's camera to scan barcodes and text on medication packaging and prescription labels.
5.2 Scanned text is sent to a third-party AI service (Groq, Inc.) for processing and translation. By using the App, you consent to this data transmission.
5.3 The App does not store any prescription images or text on external servers. All scan history and saved items are stored locally on your device only.
5.4 AI translations are generated using large language models and may not be 100% accurate. Always verify important medical information with your pharmacist.

6User Responsibilities

6.1 You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided by the App.
6.2 You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.
6.3 You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the App.
6.4 You agree not to use the App to scan or process information belonging to another person without their consent.

8Intellectual Property

8.1 The App and all its content, design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of the Developer.
8.2 You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8.3 You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without written permission from the Developer.
